Melbourne has emerged as one of the world’s premier cultural and business tourist destinations. With Australia’s only 24 hour airport and sophisticated tourism and transport infrastructure, it is also a gateway to tourism in the state of Victoria, Australia and the Asia Pacific region. Melbourne’s safety, quality of life, natural landscape and cost effectiveness have earned it several awards including the titles of ‘best’ and ‘most liveable’ city for the past three years. The City of Melbourne has collaborated with industry and the state government to develop award winning tourism services such as the Melbourne Visitor Centre and the soon to be developed 5000 seat Melbourne Conference Centre. The local tourism industry is very active, producing a diverse annual program of tourism options including arts, wine and food, sport, adventure, scenic and business packages. The city hosts more than 500 events every year, a number of them major international arts and sporting festivals. Australian Tours Company is an active member of Melbourne’s tourism industry. The company’s focus on inbound visitors from China has enabled it to meet growing demand in the Chinese market. With more flights direct from China to Melbourne and Sydney and more airlines choosing to fly this route, travel from China is much easier that in the past. Australia Tours Company is managed by a team of experienced, Chinese speaking tourism consultants led by Managing Director, Vivian Song. The team’s understanding of Australian and Chinese cultural differences, coupled with an up-to-date knowledge of tourism options and immigration conditions, underpins its offer of a seamless travel experience.
